He explains how he came to find the Salvation Army and became an officer, serving in multiple locations in the modern-day Western Territory, including the Bay Area in California as well as Washington and Hawaii. 13. This is a 6.125"x9" black and white photograph depicting Evangeline Booth amidst a large crowd in Denmark. She is flanked on both sides by unknown Danish officers. Booth is holding a bouquet of flowers and is wearing a Salvation Army bonnet with large bow. That the photograph was taken in Denmark is inferred from the uniforms of the officers pictured. Their hatband's read, "Frelsens Hael," which is Danish for The Salvation Army. The year range given corresponds to the years during which Evangeline Booth served as the United States National Commander. This date range has been chosen due to the fact that Booth is seen in the photograph wearing United States epaulets (those with the eagle atop the crest).
