An invitation to celebrate the fith anniversary of The Haven, a Salvation Army program for veterans. The celebration also was the launch of the Exodus Lodge Board and Care Program and the Naomi House Women's Facility. Commissioner David Edward's was the Territorial Commander. Several government officials were included as participants or guests at the event: Maria Fernandez-Greczmiel-Dept. of Veterans Affairs; Honorable Richard Riordan-Mayor of Los Angeles; Honorable Zev Yaroslavsky-Supervisor, County of Los Angeles; Smith Jenkins-VA Healthcare System; Honorable Henry Waxman-U.S. House of Representatives; and the Honorable Harry Pregerson-United States Judge. |
